How to Use the Lumi Master Type Chart
The chart is directional: select the attacking type and the defending type, then read the displayed multiplier before choosing a lead or switch.
Read the direction first
A 2x result means the attacking type is favorable into the defender; a 1/2 result means the defender resists that attack. Reverse the pair and the result may change.
Use this before a difficult battle rather than relying on icon color alone.
Do not ignore dual types
A Lumi can carry two types. Its matchups need the full combination, not only the first badge you notice.
The type calculator exists for this exact case: choose the attack and defender combination and use the resulting multiplier as the starting point for your decision.
Pair type with kit
An advantage creates an opening, but energy cost, trait timing, and the opponent's next answer still matter. Treat the chart as the first filter, then read the profiles.
Divine matchups with unverified cells are labeled as such in the chart. Keep those decisions aligned with the current in-game display.
Use the chart before and after switching
Use the chart before choosing a lead, then use it again when the field changes. An offensive advantage is only useful if the incoming Lumi also avoids the opponent's likely response.
For a dual-type Lumi, use the full displayed combination in the calculator. Treat the multiplier as one part of the decision alongside skill cost, trait timing, and the next possible switch.
